January 2007
- New year started with the good news from the Welsh Assembly Government: we have been awarded a three-year grant of £71,000 under the ‘Wales: the Active Community’ programme.
- Pixillion commissioned to build/develop our new website
- New Training Teams (Leaders & North/South) meet to work on 2007 programmes.
December 2006
- Katy Chadwick, Wales Programme Co-ordinator, joined Training for Trainers course in Korea
- Training for Trainers course run in Cardiff
- Good news from the Department for International Development: we have been awarded a grant of £9,800 to run the Wales/Africa Project
November 2006
- Katy Chadwick & Xenia Davis, Wales & Exchanges Programme Co-ordinators, attend General Assembly & Conference of the Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations in Paris.
- North/South Preparation weekend run in Cardiff
- African Drumming workshops run with 120 schoolchildren in Pontypridd
- Grant of £7,500 received from the Welsh Centre for International Affairs to develop a new website.
October 2006
- Tim Anfield, Tom Peck & Sam Powell complete the Cardiff Marathon and raise more than £1,500 for UNA Exchange
- Annual General Meeting held in Cardiff
- Summer programme in Wales ended on a high note with a Global Community Day at Glanaman, Carmarthenshire
- Eight new EVS volunteers started their 11-month projects in Cardiff and Merthyr Tydfil
