| Work: | Mardin Youth and Culture House is going to organize a “Circus & Street Arts Festival” and they need volunteers to prepare, run and perform in it. Anybody is welcome but people with skills on circus or street arts like juggling, clowning, stick walking, tightrope dancing-walking, fire blowing, capoeira , mime, graffiti, acrobacy, illusion, etc., are especially welcome. You can watch the video at www.msafest.org to see what is going to happen. Volunteers are needed to help prepare the festival, setting up stands, tents, hanging posters and inviting people by different activities. If you have a talent as mentioned above you can perform and teach it to the locals. |
| Location: | Mardin is a city in Southeast of Turkey. The project will start in Istanbul with a compulsory orientation meeting and over night stay that all volunteers should attend on the first day of the camp. The group will depart on the 31st and travel south-east by coach to Mardin (a 21 hour journey). |
| Accommodation: | Volunteers will be sleeping in a shared dormitory, a sleeping bag and mat are not necessary. Food will be supplied at the site but volunteers may be required to help with cooking and cleaning duties. |
| Special remarks: | TERMINAL : İstanbul ; STUDY THEME : n/a ; SPECIAL REMARKS : There is a compulsory orientation meeting in Istanbul before the project starts. This requires an overnight stay which will cost 20 Euro on bed & breakfast basis. The meals in Istanbul and on the way to the camp site are volunteers’ responsibility until the group reaches the camp site in Mardin. A motivation letter should be sent with the application form. ; EXTRA FEE : 20 euro for the overnight stay in Istanbul. |
