| Work: | The municipality of Jesus of Nazareth wishes to be an ecologically sound district, and because of this many projects are needed. The Program for Education and Strengthening (PEAS) has created a plan that includes environmental education as the crux for strengthening the local environment and maintaining ecological stability. Currently the municipality urgently needs green areas, and there are initiatives in place that desperately need the help of volunteers in Zone 5, which in the future will be the example ecological area for the district. With the technical help of the municipality, the volunteers will prepare the zone with a small stand of trees, prepare the earth for farming, sew and irrigate the fields, as well as ensuring the plants have taken root. The volunteers will be in charge of a particular area of Zone 5, and must ensure the project is sustainable to serve as an example to the local people. |
