Become a Trustee

Whether you have been involved in UNA Exchange for a while and want to take on a new level of responsibility or you are coming new to the organisation and have professional skills that you could share, the Executive Committee could be the place for you. The Executive Committee (EC) is made up of the Trustees of the organisation and is a serious commitment for people who want to take responsibility for the direction and stability of the organisation. This means supporting the Director and staff to enable UNA Exchange to reach its potential, through strategic guidance.

New EC members need to commit for a minimum of one year and be elected by the members at the Annual General Meeting in the Autumn. EC members are then expected to attend five full meetings a year (usually on weekends in Cardiff) as well as to attend Working Group meetings and undertake work outside of meetings. EC members can be elected to be an officer of the Executive Committee (Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary) or to specialise in one of the Working Groups (staffing, finance, fundraising, communications, core/strategy).

We would be particularly interested in new Trustees who are Cardiff based and/or with experience and professional skills including:

  • Finance skills
  • Management skills
  • Knowledge of the voluntary sector in Wales and/or the UK

If you think you might be interested in joining the Executive Committee then please contact our Chairperson, .
