Volunteer in Wales

As a volunteer exchange organisation we send Welsh and UK volunteers abroad to participate in international projects. But that’s not all our work, we also host our own international projects right here in Wales. Find out about them below. Many are intended for international volunteers to come and join projects in communities in Wales but there are also opportunities for UK volunteers to join the adventure.

Workcamps in Wales

Every summer we host 8-10 , 2-week workcamps across Wales, welcoming over 70 volunteers each year. These include working on organic farms in Pembrokeshire, kids projects in the South Wales Valleys and environmental work in an outdoor centre on Gower. These are mainly for overseas volunteers but we also welcome people from the UK, click here to find out more about Welsh workcamps.

EVS offers fully funded 2-to-12-month, long term volunteer projects in third sector organisation in Wales. These projects are for overseas volunteers and must be applied for through our partner organisations overseas. Every year we welcome 10-15 EVS volunteers to Wales including into our UNA Exchange office. Click here to find out more.

Weekend volunteering

These programmes are intended to give volunteers in Wales the opportunity to get involved in projects with a diverse group of volunteers for a weekend somewhere in Wales. While it is possible for international volunteers to participate we expect transport to be a bit of a challenge.
